With a career spanning over two decades, Nic Hard’s journey into sound began in the mid-90s, spinning records at vibrant clubs and house parties in Philadelphia and London. This early exploration of music led him to the world of studio recording and mixing. Starting out as an Intern at Unique Recording in New York City he later went on to become house engineer at RPM Studios.

In 2002, Nic transitioned to freelancing, co-producing Forget Yourself by The Church in Sydney, Australia. Since then, he has worked with a broad range of artists, including established artist like Snarky Puppy, Becca Stevens and The Bravery as well as rising stars like The Ropes and Ghost Beach, consistently demonstrating his ability to enhance their unique musical voices.

Nic’s artistry earned industry recognition, including three Grammys - one for his engineering and mixing on Snarky Puppy’s Culcha Vulcha, which took home the award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. His journey continued in 2020 with a nomination for his work on Becca Stevens’ “Slow Burn” and a win with Snarky Puppy’s Live at the Royal Albert Hall. In 2022 he won his third Grammy for Empire Central. Most recently, in 2023, he received a nomination for Best Engineered Non-Classical Album for Bokante's History.

Today, Nic is a sought-after producer, mixer, and engineer, celebrated for his distinctive style and ability to infuse a fresh edge into every project. His impressive portfolio is a reflection of his unwavering passion for music and dedication to pushing creative boundaries.
